It's great to be back in the full swing of training again. Today we focussed on intensity. For most of the session, we were operating at a medium to high level where the heart rate was elevated. The breaks were only a few seconds long conversation was difficult.

We started with a tabata drill consisting of:

Sprints (balls of feet) X 2
Squats X 2
Freestyle kicking combinations X 2
Jumping Jacks X 2

Then onto the main part of the session.

Set 1 Kumite both sides followed by Bassai Dai Kata
Set 2 Kumite both sides followed by Tekki Sandan Kata
Set 3 Kumite both sides followed by Enpi Kata
Set 4 Kumite both sides followed by Kanku Sho Kata
Set 5 Kumite both sides followed by Sochin Kata

Tabata drill:

Press ups X 2
Sit ups X 2
Squats X 2
Freestyle kicking combos X 2

Gojushiho Sho kata 5 times increasing in intensity, speed and power.

To finish we did some slow core work from lying on our back.
