My Squat ChallengePublished 23/12/2012
My latest challenge has been to get back to Squatting 100Kg + before Xmas. I set this goal as a short term focus back in early November since the year was coming to an end. Although I've squatted 100Kg + before, I chose this goal again as I'm probably the leanest I've been for a while at 11st 7lb (formerly 12st). 100Kg becomes nearly 1.4 times my body weight.

On Twitter, I post regular updates under the hashtag #4platesbyxmas. I started at 70kg and squatted 3 sets of 5 repititions. At the next session, I added 2.5Kg and repeated the process. I never failed to reach the full 3X5 so I was able to add 2.5Kg at every session.

Below is a clip of my last set of 5 at 100Kg - I just about finished the last rep!

I'll continue to progress next year, starting back at 90Kg, I'll apply the same loading increments and see where I can get to. 1.5 times my body weight would be nice!
